We are currently hiring for a full‑time Senior CNC Milling Machinist at our manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. A CNC Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine while maintaining quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce parts to specified tolerances using MastercamReview and interpret engineering drawings to ensure all specifications are metSelect appropriate tooling, materials, and setup methods to optimize efficiency and accuracyAdjust machine speeds, feeds, tooling, and cutting strategies to maintain precision and part qualityPerform in-process inspections using calibrated measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracyWork with department leads and production coordinators to iterate components through machining / CMM cycles quickly and arrive at stable production for tight tolerance componentsTroubleshoot and diagnose common CNC machining issuesEnsure all parts meet company quality standards and comply with ISO & AS9100 requirementsPerform minor machine maintenance and tool calibration as requiredPlan and manage time effectively to meet current and upcoming job requirementsCollaborate with other machinists to find appropriate solutions to complex machining challengesWork with and teach less experienced machinist to ensure they can remain productive while gaining skills and knowledge for independenceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all Health & Safety and Controlled Goods regulationsQualificationsMinimum 5 years experience operating CNC machinesJourneyman, machinist trade certificate or equivalent experience is considered an assetExperience in Mastercam, Powermill, Solidworks or any other CAD/CAM software is considered an assetIt is mandatory that this role take part in a criminal record check and controlled goods screenInterview ProcessStrong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilitiesStrong time‑management skills to successfully complete tasks on a tight timelineStrong teamwork skills and ability to work with others to solve complex machining challengesStrong knowledge of GD&T and history of working with CMM for part verificationThe ability to stand for long periods of time, complete repetitive tasks/movements and potentially lifting heavy objects up to 50lbPositive attitudeCompensationCompetitive wages based on experience and knowledge levelEmployee benefits with medical and dentalOpportunity for advancementSupport for training and educationA fun, friendly and casual work workplace with company sponsored events2 Paid Flex days per yearFree uniforms provided with weekly laundryAccess to onsite employee gym#J-18808-Ljbffr
