Operated by Urgo Hotels & Resorts Canada, The Clayfield will deliver a highly personalized, refined guest experience grounded in calm luxury, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place.The Financial Controller is responsible for the overall financial management and accounting operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, discipline, and transparency across all financial activities. Reporting to the General Manager, this role oversees day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls, while supporting operational decision-making and overall hotel performance.This position will appeal to a detail-oriented finance leader who values ownership, structure, and the opportunity to build strong financial systems in a pre-opening environment.What You'll DoSupport all pre-opening financial setup, including systems, chart of accounts, banking structure, and financial workflowsOversee all hotel accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll coordination, general ledger, and financial reportingPrepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, and annual budgets, maintaining accurate and transparent P&L reportingLead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, ensuring alignment with hotel operations and ownership expectationsAct as a key business partner to the General Manager and department leaders, providing financial insight to support operational decision-makingEstablish and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure complianceManage cash flow, banking relationships,
