Job DetailsHours of Work: Sunday to Thursday 7:30 am–3:30 pm. Reports to: Supervisor Maintenance. Location: 576 – NHO. Bargaining Unit: Yes.DescriptionThe Licensed Tradesperson maintains, diagnoses, tests, and repairs material handling equipment (MHE) (e.G., conveyors, gear boxes, rollers, drive unit, hydraulic and pneumatics systems, etc.) to ensure equipment operates with minimal downtime in compliance with health and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesConduct regular preventative/predictive maintenance on MHE to maintain equipment in a good state of repair and in compliance with health and safety standards.Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical failures to ensure minimal downtime and reduce downstream impact on service delivery.Inspect and monitor Material Handling Equipment and related facilities.Prepare and maintain reports (e.G., safety,



operational).Coordinate and document work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).EducationCompletion of specialized courses normally taught in community or recognized specialty colleges, about three academic years.For electrician roles, a Licensed Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) is required.For millwright roles, a Licensed Industrial Millwright Certificate (433A) is required.Experience5 years of experience as an electrician or millwright installing, maintaining, diagnosing, or repairing material handling equipment.SkillsPreventative maintenance.Parts knowledge.Equipment installation.Language RequirementProficiency in English required for this position due to frequent communications with stakeholders.Employer StatementPurolator is an equal prospect employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
