Job description: Technical Product Manager

Location: Vancouver (5-days onsite)

Expected initial 4-month contract About the Role

We are seeking a customer-obsessed, strategic, and technically proficient Product Manager to lead the development and growth of customer-facing digital products that drive user acquisition, engagement, and long-term value. This role requires an individual who can seamlessly bridge business objectives and technical execution while influencing stakeholders across a complex, cross-functional environment.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will define and execute a multi-year product vision, create and manage a prioritized roadmap, and partner closely with Engineering, UX Design, Data Analytics, Go-to-Market teams, and senior leadership to deliver impactful customer experiences. You will be responsible for making data-driven decisions, balancing customer needs with business goals, and ensuring successful product delivery at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

- Define and own the long-term product strategy and vision aligned with organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap based on customer insights, market opportunities, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
- Identify growth opportunities and translate them into compelling product initiatives.
- Establish measurable goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.

Product Development & Execution

- Partner with engineering teams to define product requirements, technical solutions, and implementation strategies.
- Write detailed product requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Drive end-to-end product delivery, from ideation and discovery through launch and optimization.
- Prioritize features and enhancements using data, customer feedback, and business impact assessments.




- Collaborate with development teams throughout the product lifecycle to mitigate risks and resolve execution challenges.

Technical Leadership

- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to decisions related to system architecture, platform capabilities, scalability, performance, and integration strategies.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand trade-offs between customer experience, technical complexity, and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

- Build strong relationships and earn trust across business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
- Communicate product vision, roadmap progress, priorities, and results to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and business case development.
- Facilitate alignment across multiple teams operating in a highly matrixed environment.

Customer & Data Insights

- Leverage qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Use analytics, experimentation, and market data to validate product hypotheses and measure outcomes.
- Conduct business analysis and performance reviews to identify growth opportunities and optimization strategies.
- Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development process.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Program Management, Business Development, Product Marketing, or a related technology-focused discipline.




- Proven experience defining product strategies and owning product roadmaps from conception to execution.
- Experience managing technical products, platforms, digital experiences, SaaS solutions, or online services.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, product lifecycle management, and agile delivery practices.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams and contributing to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and implementation planning.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging data to inform product decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization or analytics tools.
- Experience defining success metrics and using experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, user testing, etc.) to guide product improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on customer acquisition, growth, engagement, retention, or monetization initiatives.
- Experience leading products in large-scale, complex, or highly matrixed organizations.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, APIs, data platforms, machine learning, or AI-enabled products.
- Experience managing global products and collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
