The Oracle Database@AWS (ODB@AWS) team is looking for a talented Software Development Engineer II to help design, build, and operate a fully managed Oracle Database service on AWS.As an SDE II on the ODB@AWS team, you will own the design and delivery of critical features that enable customers to deploy, manage, and scale Oracle databases with the reliability and operational excellence they expect from AWS. You will work across the full stack—from infrastructure automation and control plane services to monitoring, security, and customer-facing APIs—to deliver a world-class managed database experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems that power the ODB@AWS serviceOwn end-to-end feature delivery from requirements gathering through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational supportCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, database engineers, and partner teams across AWSContribute to system architecture decisions and drive technical excellence through code reviews, design documents,
and best practicesMentor junior engineers and raise the technical bar for the teamBasic Qualifications3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experienceExperience programming with at least one programming languagePreferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentBenefitsBase salary range: $114,800 – $191,800 CAD annually. Package may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
