Senior Systems Testing/QA SpecialistThe Magnet Accessibility Validation resource will assist MAG teams with accessibility testing and support for all MAG websites, applications, and documents, including the CDT Initiative, CAMP, Case Centre, and others.ScopeConduct accessibility testing for various applications, websites, documents, PDFs, and more.Provide a comprehensive 3‑part accessibility methodology (manual, automated, assistive technology) and detailed reports to end users.Meet with end users to walk through testing results and explain issues and remediation options.Offer expert advice on WCAG 2.1 to developers, vendors, and end users.Respond to queries from clients, vendors, and end users.Key Deliverables (CDT)Online public‑facing application: Public Portal and Case Center.Online internal application for CSD and court staff: C‑Track.Training and change‑management resources: videos, PowerPoint presentations, PDF documents, Word manuals, tip sheets, posters, brochures, and online forms using MS Forms, Slido, or EasyRetro.Work ArrangementPosition listed as “Onsite” with provisional hybrid assignment, 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Schedule may change based on OPS needs.ResponsibilitiesPerform accessibility testing on multiple MAG applications and assist the CDT team with testing the new digital justice solution.Ensure compliance with Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)



WCAG 2.1 as a minimum standard for public‑facing components.Deliver detailed accessibility reports and recommendations using manual, automated, and assistive testing techniques.Provide guidance to developers, vendors, and end users on WCAG 2.1 and related accessibility standards.Participate in client interviews to assess business and system accessibility requirements, propose alternative solutions, and evaluate feasibility and cost‑benefit impacts.Lead technical training sessions and develop best‑practice documentation for teams.QualificationsKnowledge of WCAG 2.1 and emerging accessibility standards.Experience with the OPS 3‑part accessibility testing methodology (manual, automated, assistive).Robust understanding of information technology systems design and development.Proficiency with office computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, project management).Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Evaluation Criteria (Simplified)Knowledge of I⁢ Accessibility – 30 pointsInvestigate and recommend solutions to meet accessibility requirements.Knowledge of mainframe, mid‑range, and PC technologies.Understand procurement policies and directives.Technical Skills – 25 pointsKnowledge of debugging, testing techniques, and hardware/network support.System design, development, and testing methods.Leadership & Project Management – 25 pointsDemonstrated leadership in a complex service delivery environment.Communication Skills – 20 pointsWell‑developed communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge
