Apply today and drive your career forward with Volkswagen Group Canada, Inc.Position OverviewThe Accounts Payable Manager, Affiliates & Business Inquiries leads the professional personnel of the Accounts Payable team within VGCA Accounting Shared Services. This includes accurate and timely processing of affiliate payable related invoices and credits, statement reconciliations, and aging in accordance with corporate policies and procedures effectively and efficiently for the Volkswagen Group Canada accounting shared service. This role is also responsible for the overall management of trade and affiliate vendor inquiries, ensuring that all responses are timely, complete and professional.Base Compensation: Salary range is dependent on factors such as industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials,



and other qualifications. The salary range for this role is $87,260-$97,260 per year. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and internal compensation practices.Position Level: Internal Professional Career Level GVacancy Type: This posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and negotiate specific performance objectives for each individual team member and ensure alignment to Accounting Services’ corporate objectivesMonitor teams’ performance versus established departmental and individual role metrics and take corrective action where necessaryResponsible for the hiring and on-boarding of new staffEnsure all affiliate vendor reconciliations are complete and approved; in transit aging is managed appropriatelyReview monthly aging schedules, reports and fluctuationsEnsure all accounting reconciliations are complete and approved; aging is managed appropriatelyEnsure that all trade and affiliate vendor inquiries are timely, complete and professionalEnsure all entries originating within areas of responsibility are in compliance with IFRS and Group guidelinesEnsure accounting processes are properly and adequately supported and documentedConduct meetings as required to discuss and resolve accounting issues,



process improvements and identify risks proposing solutions and escalating as appropriateDevelop, monitor, and support processes to compensate for open issues and develop solutions by working closely with other departmentsEnsure all areas of process maps, narratives, control matrices and desk procedures are prepared, updated, tested, and maintained, and ensure relevant internal controls are adhered to by team membersAll other duties as requiredQualificationsBachelor’s Degree/in Finance or AccountingCPA Designation is considered an asset5+ years’ experience in similar role, shared services experience is considered a strong asset2+ years’ supervisory experience with well developed leadership and interpersonal skills is requiredSolid knowledge of functional accounting methods and application of IFRS and ICFRHighly advanced knowledge of MS Office suit, specifically Excel and PowerPointExcellent communication skills – Written, oral and presentation to document, articulate and convey functions and processesAnalytical skills – Ability to dissect complex accounting and financial processes and identify risks and process improvementsWorks well under strict deadlines with a strong attention to detailStrong business acumen – understanding of large, complex organizations and ability to interact with all levels of an organizationAbility to travel up to 10%Ability to work overtime as required during peak timesWhy You’ll Love Working HereHealth Insurance Coverage: We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, including a flexible plan to ensure employees and their families have access to quality healthcare tailored to their needs.Health Spending
