A Brief Overview The Yellow House Student Centre for Equity & Inclusion team is committed to creating comfortable and accountable spaces for students who identify as Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and/or as People of Colour (QTBIPoC) to feel secure, to create community, to be empowered, to celebrate their identity and to flourish. We seek to engage students in initiatives that actively dismantle oppressive, racist and colonial ideologies and practices.

Reporting to the Director, the incumbent in this role designs and implements programs that help QTBIPoC students feel seen, heard and prioritized on campus. They work directly with student staff at the Yellow House and more widely with students and student clubs across campus to co-design this work.

In order to address the unique needs and concerns of equity-deserving student communities, this opportunity is open only to qualified individuals who self-identify as Queer, and/or Trans, and/or Black, and/or Indigenous and/or people of colour (QTBIPoC). This initiative follows the provisions of a special program and special employment as outlined by the Ontario Human Rights Commission

We hope to attract candidates who are passionate about the Yellow House mandate,

who care about advancing a culture of equity and inclusion at Queen's, and who are committed to uplifting the voices of QTBIPoC students on this campus through centre initiatives. If this sounds like you, please share your application with us!
