OpportunitySenior Proposal ManagerAecon Civil is a recognized leader in the market, backed by strong self‐perform capabilities and deep local expertise. The Senior Proposal Manager leads the development, production, and formal submission of Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), and other required content such as Market Sounding responses and Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for major project pursuits identified by Aecon's executive team.ResponsibilitiesLead day‐to‐day management and oversight of Aecon's formal submissions in response to RFQs, RFPs, EOIs, and Market SoundingsLead major proposal pursuits where Aecon is the lead partner in a joint venture (JV) partnershipProvide direct leadership to Proposal Managers and Coordinators, including coaching and skill developmentMaintain and develop proposal standards, tools, and best practices to ensure consistencyReview proposal performance metrics, win/loss outcomes, and trend analysis to inform continuous improvement and decision‐makingAct as an escalation point for significant execution, resourcing, or quality issues, driving resolution at the leadership levelManage Aecon submission responses when an Aecon JV partner is the pursuit leadSchedule and lead proposal/bid meetingsManage and coordinate input from other partners and internal stakeholdersOversee and manage documents throughout the proposal/bid processProvide regular proposal/bid pursuit status reportsManage assigned project pursuit schedules and ensure adequate resources are assignedManage Proposal Coordinators and Managers as appropriateHelp train, mentor, and develop proposal team membersPrepare presentations, executive summaries, and reports as neededPackage and deliver final proposal/bid submissions on timeTravel as required to work with JV partners to develop and close submissionsCoordinate with Aecon's internal graphic design team to develop critical proposal material, including:
JV logos, identity guidelines and overall graphical imagery of the proposal/bid submissionsReview and develop a detailed understanding of client proposal/bid requirementsDevelop proposal/bid calendars and responsibility matricesPrepare, write, edit, and format proposal sections, resumes, and project sheetsSupport additional content development, including with corporate Subject Matter Experts and site personnelTrack and ensure timely provision of deliverables required from internal and external partnersPerform compliance checks on all submittal documentsOrganize and run team reviews on behalf of the project teamAttend pre‐bid meetings and post‐bid debrief meetings and summarize results and lessons learned as requiredOversee proposal close‐out process and documentation of lessons learnedOperate in a deadline‐driven environmentTime allocation for this position is approximately 70% reading/writing/editing/formatting and 30% organizational related activitiesOther duties as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent skilled experienceMore than 5 years of experience in proposal management on major projects in the Construction SectorAn excellent leader with the ability to drive performance and provide constructive feedback to team membersStrong knowledge of and experience with major project development and procurement processesExcellent comprehension of content management and development practicesAbility to gather, synthesize,
