We are seeking a detail-oriented procurement professional to join our supply chain team as a Buyer/Expeditor or Buyer I , depending on experience level. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of our purchasing operations — from processing and tracking purchase orders to managing supplier relationships across assigned commodities. The Buyer/Expeditor position focuses on day-to-day PO execution, order tracking, and proactive expediting to keep materials flowing on schedule. The Buyer I role builds on this foundation, taking on more independent ownership of a supplier portfolio, with greater accountability for supplier performance, delivery reliability, and overall supply continuity. Location: Montreal, Côte-de-Liesse (St-Laurent) Work mode: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) Employment Type: Full-time Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8h/day Responsibilities: Create, release, and manage purchase orders through to delivery Obtain supplier acknowledgements, commitment dates, and monitor delivery performance Follow up on late deliveries, shortages, and past-due orders Maintain accurate ERP data (dates, quantities, pricing, supplier commitments) Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies Support RFQ activities and sourcing requests Escalate supply risks and coordinate with planning, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams Requirements: Education Buyer/Expeditor: High School Diploma required; DEC/Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement,
Business Administration, Logistics, or related field is an asset Buyer I: DEC/Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or related discipline Experience Buyer/Expeditor: 0–2 years of relevant experience Buyer I: 1–3 years of relevant experience Aerospace or manufacturing experience is an asset for both levels Bilingual required (French/English) — spoken and written, mandatory for all levels Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle experience is an asset) Comfortable managing purchase order data (dates, quantities, pricing, supplier commitments) Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization Proactive, clear communication with suppliers (follow-up and expediting) Ability to resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies Comfortable coordinating across teams (planning, manufacturing, quality, logistics) Why choose us An international community bringing together more than 110 different nationalities An environment where trust is central: 70% of our leaders started their careers at the entry level A strong training system with our internal Academy and more than 250 modules available A dynamic work setting that frequently comes together for internal events (afterworks, team buildings, etc.) Amaris Consulting promotes equal opportunities.
