Join Morningstar’s AI Accelerator team as an AI Software Engineer in Toronto. Youll design and build scalable services, while collaborating closely on cutting-edge GenAI solutions.

In this role, you will enhance core services such as the MCP Server and AI Agent. You will engage throughout the full development lifecycle—from design to implementation—while leveraging AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality code and contributing to system architecture alongside product teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and enhance scalable GenAI services
• Own features from concept to production deployment
• Collaborate with product managers and designers
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Mentor teammates and promote knowledge sharing

Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in modern object-oriented programming
• Strong foundations in data structures and algorithms
• Familiar with GenAI frameworks and tools
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms
• Agile experience using tools like Jira
