Your OpportunityWe are seeking a full‑time Project Archaeologist to join our Archaeology team in Ontario. An individual in this role will be highly organized and self‑motivated. Your expertise will be utilized in all parts of Ontario, from urban core brownfields to fly‑in only wilderness, for a wide array of private and public sector clients. You may also take advantage of opportunities to collaborate with Stantec colleagues across Canada.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a Project Manager and provide Field Supervisor oversight, when requiredManage and execute all aspects of archaeological projects, from proposal development and project setup to deliverable preparation and submissionWork closely with other Project Managers and Team Leads to organize resourcing and logisticsMonitor project financials with the assistance of a financial teamParticipate in business development and proposal preparationLiaise with Indigenous communities, clients,



and regulatorsWork closely with Field Supervisors to deliver technically sound recommendations for cultural resource managementManage project teams of up to 20+ individualsWrite or quality review proposals and archaeological reportsActively participate in and promote Stantec’s HSSE programQualifications & CapabilitiesHighly organized and willing to work in a quick‑paced environmentAble to mentor junior staffDesire to work closely with other environmental professionals, regulatory staff, and Indigenous community membersPrevious experience as an Ontario Field Supervisor an assetProject Management Professional (PMP) designation an assetA valid Ontario drivers license is requiredEducation & ExperienceMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology, or equivalent, is requiredProfessional or Research Archaeology License issued by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries, in good standing is requiredMinimum of 5 years of cultural resource management experience required, with a minimum one year of experience managing archaeological projectsPay RangeLocations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC & Various locations in Ontario: $76,900.00 - $111,500.00 AnnuallyLocations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario: $81,500.00 - $118,200.00 AnnuallyLocation & TravelPrimary Location: Canada | ON | HamiltonOther Locations: Canada | ON | OttawaTravel: YesScheduleFull time#J-18808-Ljbffr
