Every year, SkillPlan supports tens of thousands of apprentices in succeeding in their trade certification and Red Seal programs.About the OpportunityWe are seeking an extremely organized, detail-oriented and very hands-on Manager of Finance to oversee the financial processing, reporting and management for one non-profit organization and two joint ventures. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of Finance will take ownership of full‐cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting and the timely delivery of reliable and accurate financial information across all reporting entities.The role supports a diverse portfolio that includes government‐funded projects, fee‐for‐service activities, joint ventures and other revenue streams, requiring strong financial oversight, accountability and attention to contractual and funding requirements. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing financial activities across multiple organizations, joint ventures and projects and will bring a collaborative, service‐oriented approach to working with internal teams as well as government funders, clients, auditors,



joint venture partners and other external stakeholders.The role is well suited to a designated CPA or final level CPA candidate seeking a flexible long‐term opportunity with meaningful responsibility.TransitionThe current Director of Finance has announced her retirement and will continue, as required, in a part‐time capacity to support the Manager of Finance's success.ResponsibilitiesMaintain bookkeeping and accounting records across multiple entitiesPrepare bank, credit card and account reconciliationsProcess accounts payable, expense reimbursements, credit cards and vendor paymentsProcess full payroll processing, administration and related reportingPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and project budgetsTrack cashflow and maintain accurate supporting documentation for project cashflow reportsProcess annual insurance policy renewalsCoordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, legal counsel and financial institutionsComplete annual organization audits and semi‐annual government‐funded projects auditsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controlsQualificationsCPA designation or final level CPA candidate is a requirement3+ years' experience working with QuickBooks Online, Telpay and PayWorks is an asset3+ years' experience creating and managing budgets,
