This position emphasizes research addressing climate change, wildfire, flooding, and forest management practices. You'll lead a research program supported by a $3,000,000 endowment, mentoring students and overseeing long-term field research sites.Key Responsibilities:Conduct innovative research on forest hydrologyDevelop strategies for ecosystem resilience and water sustainabilitySecure funding for advancing research initiativesSupervise undergraduate and graduate studentsMaintain and oversee field monitoring research sitesRequirements:Solid background in forest hydrology researchExperience securing research fundingCommitment to mentoring students and post-doctoral researchersAbility to address climate change and disturbance pressuresReadiness to work in-person at North Campus, EdmontonDrive impactful research and enhance forest management strategies at the University of Alberta.
