We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in design, contract administration and inspection. Experience in CADD software (AutoCAD and MicroStation) and drafting experience are an asset. Candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various disciplines. The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter who can multitask with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced workplace, contribute as a collaborative team player across projects both within and beyond their immediate team, and demonstrate strong problem‑solving abilities along with effective written and oral communication skills.Ability to make changes or revisions to existing and new drawings using CADD softwareAbility to work with the design team in preparing conceptual and detailed design layouts and detailed drawings for various projectsAbility to utilize CADD (AutoCAD and MicroStation)



software to prepare preliminary electrical layout design and detail drawings for a wide range of infrastructure projects (including layout plans, detail design, wiring schematics, equipment summary tables and charts, cross‑section, and elevation drawings)Ability to coordinate drawings with other disciplines, and team members, and coordination of drawing filling systemsAbility to coordinate design teams, contractors and clientsAbility to review construction documents and resolve technical and design issuesConduct site inspections as necessary to monitor progress and confirm compliance with contract documentsPrepare and maintain project documentation i.E. meeting minutes, RFIs, contemplated change orders etc.Qualifications & ExperienceElectrical Engineering DegreeUp to 3 years of related CADD Design experience and/or Contract Administration experienceAdvanced skills using both AutoCAD and MicroStation and drafting experienceGood computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft suite of products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project are expected, Microsoft Visio skills are an assetLocal travel should be anticipated. A valid Ontario 'G' license with access to reliable transportation is an assetSalaryThe salary range for this position is $66,000-$99,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
