The Benefits Consultant is responsible for driving new business growth while providing ongoing consultative support to an assigned block of group benefits clients. This role combines sales, relationship management, and strategic advising, partnering with employers to design, implement, and manage competitive employee benefits programs. The consultant develops new client relationships, expands existing accounts, and ensures high levels of client satisfaction through proactive service, renewal management, and issue resolution.The Benefits Consultant WillLead and manage the overall relationship of a block of clients including strategic consulting advice, service delivery, financial management, plan design, pricing strategies, trends analysis, negotiate renewals, and benchmarkingImplement strategies and activities to support client satisfaction and retentionMaintain positive relations with clients, including key decision makers and administratorsNew business development through cold calling, lead generation and networkingActive participation in prospecting for and securing new clients from leads generated through competitive bid sites, targeted proactive networking and referralsManage client expectations and effectively deal with any concerns and/or issuesEvaluate the clients risk exposure and recommend appropriate plan design and cost mitigation strategies.Develop annual action plans to ensure clients are receiving value added services, and the strategy aligns with client goals and objectivesAccountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projectsIdentify creative opportunities for growth within client block through cross-selling and providing enhanced value through unique solution generation.Manage clients from expected growth from sales team.Participate in continuing education to maintain a high level of knowledge of employee benefit legislation, administrative issues, plan rules,



claim management and client specific proceduresParticipate in industry conferences, seminars, etc. to promote services and keep abreast of industry trends and activitiesRepresent People Corporation in the market and be a successful brand ambassador.Maintain expert knowledge of the full suite of People Corporation products and services.Foster and develop positive supplier relations to enable strong partnerships for your clientsProvide coaching and mentorship to technical/analyst and service teamsBuild and maintain strong relationships across the organization with colleagues, shared services, practice areas, etc.To be successful as a Benefits Consultant with People Corporation, you will need:Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in group benefits in a client facing or consulting capacity providing strategic and cutting-edge solutions to clients' complex benefits challengesDeep expertise and understanding of the group benefits industry including funding arrangements and flex programsSuperior analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication, and listening skillsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentA positive attitude and strong team player who works well with internal and external stakeholdersA solution and results oriented individual who demonstrates excellent problem solving skillsAbility to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified in a timely mannerProficiency and comfort working with multi-channel technologyValid and active Life License Qualification Program (LLQP)Availability to travel on an as needed basisValid Driver’s License and VehicleGroup Benefits Associate (GBA) or CEBS designation or currently working towards itWhat's In It For YouLearn by working alongside our expertsExtended health care and dental benefitsA retirement savings plan with company contributionsA suite of Health & Wellness offeringsMental Health programs and support for you and your familyAssistance for the completion of industry designationsCompetitive compensationAt People Corporation we are committed to helping businesses succeed. The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
