The ideal candidate would possess a solid background in the design & analyses of steel, and concrete structures. The candidate should be proficient with some of the following software: SAP2000, RISA 3D, STAAD PRO, ETABS or ABAQUS. The candidate would be involved in performing engineering consulting services for different industries.DescriptionPerform the structural design calculations for complex structuresConduct static/dynamic and linear/non-linear finite element analyses (FEA), and design for a variety of equipment, components, and structuresDevelop and review engineering reports, design drawings, construction documents, and client-required formsSupport the design and development of innovative current productsDevelop the methodologies required for the analysis and studies of a project as per codes & standardsPrepare technical proposals, detailed reports,



and presentations as requiredExecute and deliver projects in a consulting environment with multiple priorities and evolving timelinesCollaborate with other engineers in a multi-disciplinary work environmentEnhance positive client relationships andPerform other related duties as requiredRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degree in Structural EngineeringAt least 5 years of relevant industry experienceRegistered with APEGA and APEGBC as P.EngExceptional knowledge of structural engineering and proficiency in the National Building Codes of CanadaSignificant experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete designStrong knowledge of the requirements of CSA S16 and CSA A23.3.Working knowledge in analysis of structures using SAP2000, RISA 3D, and STAAD PRO.Proficiency with ABAQUS and ANSYS is considered an assetProficient in standard Windows softwareAbility to work independently and within a team environmentExcellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systemsNotes:Job is performed in an office environment, and site travel may be required, depending on the project.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.#J-18808-Ljbffr
