The Digital Platforms Manager is a hands‑on, operationally focused role at the centre of our digital ecosystem. Working closely with the Director of Technology and Digital Strategy, this person will own the management, operations, and continuous improvement of a multisite WordPress network of 65 properties, as well as an iOS/Android mobile app that can be configured to serve any of those properties.This is an ideal opportunity for a digitally fluent, sports‑passionate professional who brings a mix of technical depth and operational capability. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable driving strategy and rolling up their sleeves — someone who takes ownership of complex digital operations and proactively identifies opportunities to improve them.Key ResponsibilitiesWordPress & Website OperationsOwn the day-to-day management of a 65‑site WordPress multisite networkManage user roles and permissions, ensuring appropriate access controls are maintainedOversee navigation menus, site settings, and plugins across all propertiesTroubleshoot and resolve HTML/CSS issues, coordinating fixes with vendor partners as requiredBuild new contest and microsite pages using best‑practicesCollaborate with league and team partners on app strategy and user journeysLead configuration and deployment of marketing cards, menus and navigation across iOS and Android for individual propertiesCoordinate with vendor on release planning and go‑to‑market execution for updates including app store listingsDigital Marketing & CommunicationsWith Marketing team, manage weekly email and push notifications campaigns including list management and performance monitoringLead online contest setup, management, and coordinate fulfillmentWith an external partner,



oversee online advertising operations with a solid understanding of ad systems and performance metricsAnalytics & Audience InsightsOwn the review and dissemination of audience reports from Google Analytics and Data StudioDerive actionable insights from analytics data and make recommendations to inform product and content decisionsMonitor social media listening tools and proactively surface relevant insights to stakeholdersPartner & Stakeholder EngagementServe as a primary point of contact for league and team partners on digital mattersOwn small and medium‑sized digital projects from intake through to deliveryManage vendor relationships and escalate technical issues, following through to resolutionDocumentation & Process ImprovementDevelop and maintain clear, thorough documentation for all processes, workflows, and configurationsOwn the team's knowledge base and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencyQualifications & SkillsTechnical SkillsIntermediate proficiency in WordPress administration (multisite experience a strong asset)Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for troubleshooting and minor editsFamiliarity with REST APIs, third‑party integrations, and the exchange of data between platformsBasic image editing skills (resizing, cropping, optimization)SEO knowledge and best practicesExperience with Google Analytics and/or Data Studio, including insight generationProficiency with email marketing and push notification platforms (eg MailChimp), including list management and reportingWorking knowledge of online advertising systems (display, programmatic,



or social)Experience with social media listening or monitoring toolsDomain KnowledgeExcellent knowledge of sports statistics, with particular depth in hockeyFamiliarity with the Canadian junior hockey landscape is a strong assetStrong eye for UX and usability — able to identify friction points and advocate confidently for the userSoft Skills & AttributesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders with a strong customer service mindsetTakes ownership and drives outcomes — a bias toward action with sound judgmentProactively identifies problems and opportunities without waiting to be directedGenuinely curious and self‑motivated to learn new tools and technologiesPassion for digital technology and emerging platformsHighly organized with robust attention to detailA note on Content: While strong writing skills are essential for documentation, internal communication, and partner correspondence, this role does not require the creation of public‑facing editorial content for the websites.This is a hybrid role.
