Join the Tong Louie Family YMCA team in Surrey, BC as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. This part time position allows you to teach swimming while ensuring safety and fostering a welcoming environment.

You will work closely with the Aquatics Supervisor to guard and instruct swim lessons and create meaningful interactions with YMCA members. Your role will extend to participating in initiatives like the Strong Kids Campaign while ensuring that all aquatic programming is safe, enjoyable, and accessible.

Key Responsibilities:
• Guard swimming activities while instructing lessons
• Engage positively with YMCA members and visitors
• Lead and promote the Strong Kids Campaign initiatives
• Create tailored lesson plans for varying skill levels
• Uphold safety standards across all facilities

Requirements:
• Current Standard First Aid certification required
• Valid CPR Level C and AED certification
• National Lifeguard – Pool Option necessary
• Preferred experience in swim teaching or lifeguarding
• Compliance with Criminal Reference Check policy
