Become a vital part of YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka as a Full time Assistant Teacher. Engage in nurturing play-based learning environments for children, ensuring their care and safety every day.

This role focuses on providing personal care, implementing the YMCA Curriculum, and fostering positive communication with families. You’ll actively oversee children's safety in group settings, demonstrating support for children with diverse needs. Flexibility, interpersonal skills, and a passion for childhood education are crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care, including toileting and first aid
• Engage effectively and supervise children in groups




• Plan play-based learning activities aligned with YMCA Curriculum
• Maintain ongoing communication with families and staff
• Support children with exceptional behaviours

Requirements:
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg and work outdoors
• Willingness to work variable shifts Monday to Friday
