If you believe in community, come join ours.About the roleOur mission in the Brand pillar is to make it easy for Brands to create high-quality product listings on Faire, keep them up to date, and get them in front of retailers. Having access to well-curated catalogs of products lets Main Street retailers compete with big-box stores and we're responsible for the first step in that journey.As a Staff Product Engineer on the Brand pillar, you will be responsible for helping teams execute on our hardest features, coaching engineers, and working alongside product, design, and data to achieve our mission.You'll work at the pillar level, supporting different teams from quarter to quarter as priorities shift. with a strong product senseYou effectively balance your excitement for building features with a focus on the long-term maintainability of those featuresYou want to use technology to help your local independent retailers and brands succeedYou want to experiment with the best AI productivity tools on the market to help accelerate customer impactWhat you'll doCollaborate closely with product managers, designers, and marketing to contribute significantly to the success of the business or the engineering platformIdentify and capitalize on new opportunities, overseeing complex multi-phase projects across multiple teams and platforms from concept to implementationBuild features across multiple stacks, potentially including Backend, Frontend, and MobileOptimize web applications for peak performance and scalability, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, fast, and scalable codeMentor fellow engineers on both technical and product judgementQualifications5+ years of experienceProficient in at least one of Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.Comfortable in agentic coding toolsFamiliar with HTML, CSS, Typescript, and frameworks/libraries like React, Next.Js, etc.Experience driving product improvements end to end, including deciding what problems are worth solving and how to solve themA bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experienceA love for technology,



and an insatiable curiosity for current tools to solve real problemsTechnologies we use and teachKotlin, Java, JavascriptJUnit, Hibernate, Guice, JerseyReact, NextJSHTTP, JSON, and Protocol BuffersMySQL, CockroachDBAWSSalary RangeCanada: the pay range for this role is $190,500 to $262,000 per year.This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.Faire uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to screen and select applicants for this position.This job posting is for an existing vacancy.Hybrid work arrangementHybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.
