The Opportunity
Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee‑owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Intermediate Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team in our Winnipeg office. In this role you will be responsible for the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients. Field work will include inspection services on active construction sites in rural Manitoba, monitoring for project quality and the contractor’s adherence to codes, standards and specifications.

What You’ll Do
In this position, you will participate in and lead the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients.
Our diverse range of projects includes municipal infrastructure such as water distribution systems, wastewater and stormwater collection systems, site grading and earthworks modeling, drainage improvements, storm ponds, roadways and parking lots, and infrastructure renewal and replacements. You may also complete site visits for topographic and quantity surveying, construction reviews and other field work as required. You will provide support to other members of our team while working on a variety of projects in a collaborative team workplace.
Does this sound like you?
- Diploma in Municipal Engineering Technology, or similar program recognized by CTTAM
- Have or will immediately obtain and maintain registration with CTTAM
- 7‑10 years minimum experience in the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects, gained in an engineering workplace setting (Preference may be given to candidates at the intermediate level, with approx. 10+ years experience)
- Proven ability in the use of AutoDesk Civil 3D, as well as other CADD‑based civil design software
- Strong attention to detail
- Committed team player
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently
- Proven analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Forward thinking and focused on opportunities to improve overall team performance and client service
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Experience working in the field on construction sites
- Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Available to travel to project sites within MB
