About the Opportunity

Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is seeking a Labour and Employment Lawyer to join its practice group in Toronto. This is an excellent chance to work on sophisticated and complex labour and employment law matters for a diverse client base that includes leading Canadian and international organizations.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise clients on a variety of employment and labour law matters, including workplace policies, employment agreements, terminations, accommodations, human rights issues, workplace investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent clients in employment-related disputes, mediations, negotiations, hearings, arbitrations, and litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, briefs, opinions, motions, and other legal documentation.
- Provide practical, strategic, and business-focused legal advice tailored to client objectives.
- Manage files independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the firm.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications

- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.




- Minimum of 5 years of employment and labour law experience gained at a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department of a large organization.
- Experience advising either employer-side or employee-side clients. Exposure to both is considered an asset.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, legal research, and drafting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and client-service orientation.
