Qualifications: FSL. Those without FSL but fluent in French are encouraged to apply
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: A passion for teaching and learning
A commitment to student engagement and well-being
A commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive pedagogy in order to serve all students
A growth mindset with the ability to adapt to a continually evolving setting
Knowledge and experience delivering the Ontario Curriculum
Experience supporting students with Special Education needs, including differentiating instruction and developing/implementing programming modifications and accommodations including many IEP's and Student Safety Plans
Strong background working with diverse students and communities including trauma informed practices
Experience developing and implementing Individual Education plans to guide programming
Knowledge/experience with a variety of assessment techniques to inform instruction/programming
Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated planning, problem solving, and organizational skills
Demonstrated classroom management skills
Resilience, optimism, and self-efficacy
