Be a pivotal leader at Simon Fraser University as the Director of Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office. This impactful role centers on enhancing resources and education to combat sexualized violence in a diverse community.
In this leadership position, you will drive strategic initiatives in sexual violence prevention and support at SFU. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree and seven years of experience in anti-violence or social justice fields. Your commitment to fostering an inclusive environment will support faculty, staff, and students in accessing essential resources and accommodations tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide education and prevention strategies across campus
• Implement best practices in policy development
• Cultivate a trauma-informed culture at SFU
• Engage various institutional partners in team-oriented efforts
• Assess and improve response measures for victims
Requirements:
• Relevant Master’s degree
• At least seven years in related areas
• Expertise in trauma-informed care
• Understanding of anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices
• Familiarity with local sexual violence legislation
