Advance Indigenous cultural competency at the University of Toronto as a Full-Time Indigenous Trainer. This role involves delivering training to enhance awareness among faculty, staff, and students.
You will play a crucial part within the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, developing workshops that explore Indigenous-Canadian relations and related educational experiences. Your contributions will ensure that the university community can effectively address the Calls to Action outlined in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Indigenous education workshops
• Facilitate educational sessions with an emphasis on peer interaction
• Create and refine training content for effectiveness
• Analyze feedback to improve workshop delivery
• Build cooperative relationships with diverse stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
• Four years in training development or delivery
• Robust understanding of Indigenous history and cultures
• Effective in adult education methodologies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
