This role operates under the Program Manager, responsible for running daily support programs and volunteer activities. You will utilize psychosocial rehabilitation principles while addressing housing and mental health issues, making a direct impact on individuals facing challenges. Flexibility is key, with shifts varying based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day running of support and advocacy services
• Ensure safety and welfare of program participants
• Facilitate social and recreational group activities
• Provide crisis de-escalation and intervention support
• Collaborate with community resources for client assistance
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent experience
• Two years of recent, related experience
• Certificates in First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS
• Criminal Record Clearance from the Ministry of Justice
• Knowledge of harm reduction and psychosocial rehabilitation practices
