Join the HART Hub Team as an Outreach Worker, supporting individuals in crisis within the Regent Park community. This full-time position focuses on recovery from homelessness and substance use.
At Regent Park Community Health Centre, you will engage with individuals experiencing responsible mental health and addiction challenges. Your role will involve connecting community members to essential services, offering help without pressure, and evaluating their immediate needs. A trauma-informed and empathetic approach is crucial for fostering trust and facilitating long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage homeless individuals in outdoor and shelter environments
• Assess urgent needs related to health and safety
• Utilize harm reduction techniques to respond to emergencies
• Distribute naloxone and educate on overdose prevention
• Coordinate with local organizations for comprehensive support
Requirements:
• Relevant degree/diploma or significant lived experience
• Understanding of systemic oppression impacts
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to social justice and community health
• Proficiency in technology and written communication
