Become a pivotal Human Rights Advisor at Trent University, focusing on fostering an inclusive campus culture. Your expertise will guide policies and mitigate human rights complaints effectively.

Your role will emphasize supporting Trent University’s administration with the implementation of human rights legislation, ensuring an environment that prioritizes equity and accessibility. You will manage complaint processes, provide training, and conduct impact assessments to enhance equity practices across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the main contact for human rights feedback and inquiries
• Investigate and address OHRC Discrimination complaints
• Create workshops and training resources for faculty and students




• Assess effectiveness of existing policies and practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders on compliance initiatives

Requirements:
• Honours degree in Human Rights Studies, Law or related area
• Minimum five years of human rights experience
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and data management systems
