Drive governance effectiveness as the Governance Support Coordinator with the University of Alberta Students’ Union. Engage with student representatives, ensure accurate documentation, and support key council initiatives.

This role focuses on enhancing student governance at UASU, coordinating support for governance bodies such as Students’ Council and others. Responsibilities include maintaining records, organizing meetings, and developing resources for students. You will foster relationships, oversee engagement programs, and assist in governance communications while working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain professional relationships with student governance representatives
• Provide advice on governance processes to student representatives




• Develop and distribute resources for student governance
• Coordinate agendas and minutes for Students’ Council meetings
• Support the implementation of governance engagement opportunities

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a energetic environment
• Experience in facilitating meetings effectively
