Position : Nipissing District Youth Centre- Part of the Education and Community Partnership Program (ECPP).
Required Teaching Qualifications: A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
Junior, Intermediate and Senior Qualifications
Special Education Specialist or (Part 2 with evidence of working toward Specialist)
Position Criteria: Demonstrate strong evidence of trauma informed practices within an educational setting and working with students with trauma considered an asset.
Demonstrate evidence of working with a multi-faceted team supporting students in their school readiness skills along with behaviour management and therapeutic programming




Demonstrate experience with Plans of Care, Behaviour Management Plan and transition plans.
Proven ability supporting students with high behavioural needs and evidence of mindfulness strategies
Demonstrate strong evidence of proven ability utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners
Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment Strategies
