Drive innovative policy development with the City of Vancouver as an Archaeological Policy Analyst in a hybrid work setting. Contribute to cultural resource management and collaborate with First Nations communities.

As a vital member of the Board of Parks and Recreation, you will focus on developing operational policies and training initiatives for archaeological resources. This role requires solid interpersonal and project management skills, ensuring equitable access to city services while navigating municipal and federal regulations related to archaeology.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement operational policies and guidelines
• Consult with First Nations and negotiate accommodations
• Prepare reports and presentations for management




• Manage archival and background research projects
• Represent Park Board at workshops and conferences

Requirements:
• University degree, preferably post-graduate in a related field
• Membership eligibility with the British Columbia Association of Professional Archaeologists
• Considerable experience in archaeological resource management
• Familiarity with BC's archaeology regulations
• Valid Driver’s License and clear record

Support ethical governance and community engagement as you advance archaeological practices in Vancouver.
