Job Description

Responsible for the effective operation of the mechanical systems and taking the initiative to repair equipment that requires attention to prevent downtime

Repair or replace defective machinery parts

Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up

Installation or assembly of machinery and equipment

Completing Preventative Maintenance Work Orders by assigned completion date

Keep all maintenance areas clean and in order

Responsible for your own tools at all times

Responsible for following company HACCP policies and procedures to ensure product quality

Carry out all duties in a safe manner

Read and understand manuals and troubleshooting procedures on new equipment

Any other duties as assigned





Qualifications

Millwright certification or registered apprenticeship would be considered a strong asset

TIG-welding experience would be considered a strong asset.

Mechanicallly inclined, salary based on experience/certifications

Must be available for multiple shift rotations including day, mid-week, afternoons and night.

Must have a proven track record of valuable attendance

Must be physically fit

Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to understand both verbal and written English

Salary: $25.78 - $41.81 per hour (dependent on level of certification, example: Red-seal Journeyperson

Shift Premium: $0.90 per hour
