Support philosophical writing as a Sessional Instructional Assistant in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto for Fall 2026. This role includes grading, training, and collaboration with the instructor.
The position is available for a writing-intensive course, PHLB99H3. An ideal candidate will possess an MA in Philosophy with strong writing and editing skills. Responsibilities will involve grading papers, attending meetings and training sessions, and general teaching duties throughout the session.
Key Responsibilities:
• Grade and prepare for grading student papers
• Organize and submit grades efficiently
• Attend instructor-led training sessions
• Participate in meetings with course instructors
• Fulfill general teaching-related duties as needed
Requirements:
• MA in Philosophy required
• Solid prior knowledge of course subject-matter
• Excellent English writing and editing skills
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Preference for advanced Sessional Lecturers
Contribute to the development of students' philosophical skills at the University of Toronto this fall.
