Estimator | High-Value ICI Construction Projects Across Alberta Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Estimator in the Construction / Commercial Construction / Pre-Construction & Estimating in Edmonton, Alberta. Take ownership of estimating and preconstruction services for complex construction projects valued at $50M+. This role offers the opportunity to influence project strategy, develop accurate cost models, manage subcontractor pricing, and support winning bids while collaborating with industry-leading construction professionals.
Total rewards: $80000.00 - $125000.00 hourly
Responsibilities Collaborate with experienced project and preconstruction teams
Influence project strategy from budgeting through tender close
Participate in value engineering and project development initiatives
Build solid industry relationships with clients and subcontractors
Join a respected and established construction organization
Contribute to landmark projects valued at $50M+
Work on diverse delivery models including CM, Design-Build and Hard Bid
A typical day Build strong industry relationships with clients and subcontractors
Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
Review drawings,



specifications and contract documents for scope requirements
Identify project risks, opportunities and competitive pricing strategies
Prepare preliminary construction schedules for estimate development
Support post-tender negotiations and preconstruction planning activities
Maintain estimating databases, historical costs and labour pricing information
Qualifications Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
Possess or be eligible for PQS or CET designation
Demonstrate 5+ years of estimating experience on ICI construction projects over $50M
Apply extensive knowledge of estimating methods, tendering and contract negotiations
Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Utilize estimating software including Timberline and On-Screen Takeoff
Maintain strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe
Build effective relationships while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
