Advance your expertise as a Specialist Dietitian in a Band 6 role at the State Hospital. This permanent chance focuses on delivering tailored dietary care to individuals with mental health and intellectual disabilities.
You will provide therapeutic dietetic services through individual and group interactions, promoting healthy lifestyles via the 'Supporting Healthy Choices' initiative. Collaboration with the catering team is key, and you will also partake in training, research, and audits as part of a small, supportive dietetic team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote health through bespoke dietary support
• Manage dietary care for patients with mental illnesses
• Intervene in cases of disordered eating effectively
• Enhance nutrition and weight control for patients
• Collaborate on medication-driven weight management
Requirements:
• HCPC registered Dietitian with 1-2 years' clinical experience
• Experience in mental health/intellectual disability settings preferred
• Knowledgeable about complex dietary needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Eagerness to develop professionally in a specialized field
