About the Role
This is a hands-on role where no two days are exactly the same. You will work closely with our People & Culture team, employees and operational leaders and be involved in everything from supporting day-to-day HR activities, including onboarding, employee record maintenance, HR systems employee and labour relations.
We are looking for someone who has a good foundation, is organized and comfortable managing the day-to-day details that keep an HR department running. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow, while also being trusted to take ownership of your work and provide reliable support to the business.
What You Will Be Doing
Coordinate employee orientations and support the onboarding experience for new team members
Maintain accurate employee files and ensure employee information is updated in our HR systems
Provide administrative support with employee relations matters, performance management, attendance management, workplace investigations and accommodations
Prepare letters, employee communications, meeting documentation and other routine correspondence
Process security clearances, background checks and other employment-related documentation
Help employees and managers with timekeeping and other routine HR system questions
Support recruitment and hiring activities, including coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters and completing pre-employment requirements
Assist with maintaining HR policies, procedures, templates and internal documentation
Support special projects, other duties, events,
and changing operational requirements
What You Will Bring
2+ years of experience in an HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, or HR Generalist support role
Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using HRIS or ATS software
Strong learning agility, with ability to learn quickly
Must be able to obtain and maintain company and/or client required security clearances
