Your role and responsibilities
As a Microsoft 365 Copilot Consultant Intern at IBM, you'll work with clients to co-create solutions to major real-world challenges by using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products to translate business requirements into the design and delivery of AI agents that live where people already work - in Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Word and Excel.

You will participate in many aspects of the delivery lifecycle, such as discovery, design, configuration, testing, enablement, and value measurement. You will build declarative and custom agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio; extend Microsoft 365 Copilot with agents, Microsoft Graph connectors and plugins; automate business processes with Power Automate, Power Apps and Dataverse; and support agent governance and lifecycle work including registration and identity through Agent 365, permissions, DLP policies and environment strategy. You will also contribute to client workshops, demos, and proposal artifacts.

This position resides in Toronto and is a 4-month work term commencing in January 2027. All applicants must be eligible to work full time in Canada and enrolled full-time in an eligible post-secondary program. It is mandatory that applicants return to full-time studies upon completion of the work term. Candidates pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degrees are eligible. MBA and PhD candidates are not eligible for this opportunity.

Required technical and professional expertise
Understanding of API specs and knowledge of how to integrate with REST services; exposure to Microsoft Graph is an asset
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) as a power user or builder
Comfort with low-code tooling and the ability to learn Copilot Studio and the Power Platform quickly
Microsoft Azure, Artificial Intelligence on Azure and on-premises enterprise,



knowledge or experience with Agile methods
Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate business needs into transparent functional requirements
Ability to communicate complex situations clearly and simply by listening actively and conveying difficult messages in a positive manner
Initiative to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills
Must be eligible to work full-time for the full duration of the internship starting in January 2027
Preferred technical and professional experience Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps or Dataverse
Exposure to prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) grounding concepts
Understanding of Microsoft Purview, data loss prevention, sensitivity labels or Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals
Experience with Dataverse, Azure SQL Database or Microsoft Fabric as a data source for agents
Exposure to Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry) or Azure AI Search for grounding enterprise content
Front-end development with React, or custom engine agent development, is a plus
Experience running user research, workshops, or training sessions
Familiarity with SharePoint content architecture and Microsoft Graph connectors
Coursework or project experience in business analysis, process mapping, or change management
Exposure or interest in Design Thinking and Agile development methodology
Microsoft certifications such as AI-900, PL-900 or MS-900 are a plus but not required
A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view
Preferred Discipline: Computer Science, Software Eng, Systems Eng, Management Information Systems, Business Technology Management, Commerce or Business Administration with a technology concentration

The salary range for the position is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate salary within this range may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience for this position.
