Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced 3-axis CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and running CNC programs to produce high-quality components efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery as well as proficiency in CAD/CAM software and blueprint reading. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with machinists and engineers to ensure manufacturing processes meet specifications and quality standards.
Duties
Develop and write CNC programs using Cimatron software.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machines ensuring precise tool paths and operations.
Perform machine calibration, tool selection, and maintenance to optimize performance.
Conduct test runs, analyze results, and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Coordinate with Designers and Toolmakers
Follow manufacturing principles to streamline processes.
Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed during all operations.
Job requirements
Proven experience with CNC programming,
particularly with Cimatron software and Fanuc controls required.
Robust mechanical knowledge related of machining processes and equipment maintenance.
Proficiency in CAD software and general blueprint reading skills.
Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including machining, assembly and use of hand tools.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precision machining.
Experience operating 3-axis CNC milling machines is required.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is essential.
