Become an integral part of the Department of Oncology as an Intermediate Data Management Specialist in Calgary. Focus on processing essential clinical, epidemiological, and image data in a full time role.
This fixed-term position lasts approximately 12 months, with potential for extension, reporting to the Principal Investigator. You will collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and biostatisticians while having opportunities for professional development in an established support team. Ideal candidates need strong data management skills, coding experience, and a commitment to advancing research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain data pipelines effectively
• Perform coding tasks for existing systems daily
• Report progress regularly to supervisors and teams
• Develop data management applications and tools
• Conduct statistical analyses and quality checks
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Science
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience in database management systems
• At least one year in a health workplace setting
• Excellent communication skills in English
