Responsible for providing a professional, welcoming demeanour as an Ambassador of The Berkeley.
Receptionists are committed team players, with a passion for providing exceptional service and support, have an empathetic and respectful approach and great attention to detail, paying attention to the ‘little things’.
Reception
Serve as the primary point of contact, liaising with residents, families, and visitors in a qualified and welcoming manner.
Answer phone calls, take messages, and check telephone and email messages, directing them to the appropriate staff members.
Screen and greet visitors, open front doors as needed, and direct guests courteously to the appropriate contact, ensuring signing in/out.
Receive, distribute, and sign for mail and packages.
Schedule and coordinate appointments for shuttle transportation, foot care, hairdressing, and medical visits.
Follow up with residents who are absent from scheduled meals or activities.
Process request forms for private dining rooms, lounges, and resident data updates.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area, including light housekeeping tasks such as garbage disposal, dusting, and vacuuming.
Activities & Dining Room Assistance
Coordinate and post activity announcements as required.
Ensure volunteers sign in and out for their shifts.
Assist with setting up chairs, tables, and equipment for activities.
Escort residents to meals or activities as needed.
Provide assistance in the Dining Room, including serving tea and coffee.
Deliver meal trays to residents as necessary.
