Join a leading Oil and Gas client as a Construction Quality Control Technologist on a 1-year contract. This role focuses on monitoring construction activities for mining earth structures efficiently and safely.
The Construction QC Technologist will report to the Geotechnical Operations Support team. You will work closely with Mine Operations, Geotechnical Engineering, and Mine Engineering. Your primary tasks will involve implementing IFC drawings and daily visual inspections of mine structures to ensure compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders during projects
• Implement and follow Protected Operating Procedures and Quality Management System
• Conduct daily visual inspections of mine earth structures
• Perform in situ soil density testing per IFC drawing requirements
• Compile reports on construction activities and upload to the database
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience in construction quality control
• Technical diploma related to mining or engineering field
• Valid class 5 Drivers' License with minor demerits
• Capability to carry 50 lbs over rough terrain
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
