Responsibilities

Decontamination of all medical/surgical instruments, equipment.

Sterilization of all medical/surgical instruments, equipment and utensils.

Assembly of equipment as required.

Specific duties will be based on assignment.

Qualifications





Minimum of grade twelve (12) or equivalent.

Successful completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing course required.

Current certification through the CSA or MDRAO (less than 5 years) required, recertification through the CSA or MDRAO required every 5 years.

Previous experience in an MDR setting is an asset.

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job with or without accommodation (i.e. long periods of standing and/or walking).

Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance.
