Reports to: Shop Foreman Employment type: Term contract, ASAP – December 4, 2026
Position Summary The Manufacturing Technician supports the assembly and production of LED lighting systems and assists with general warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving. This is a hands‑on, floor‑based role suited to someone who works accurately at a steady pace, takes pride in a well‑built product, and is comfortable being flexible as daily priorities shift during peak season.
Key Responsibilities Assemble, wire, and test LED lighting systems and sub‑assemblies to Celebright specifications
Perform quality checks throughout the build process and flag defects or inconsistencies to the Shop Foreman
Pick, pack, and prepare outbound dealer orders for shipment
Receive inbound shipments, verify quantities against documentation, and stock materials in their designated locations
Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in safe working order
Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
Assist with other general warehouse and production tasks as assigned
Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently
Solid attention to detail and manual dexterity for repetitive small‑component assembly
Reliable attendance and punctuality - the day shift depends on a full crew
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Reliable transportation to the Kanata facility for day shift hours
Preferred Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or skilled trades environments
Familiarity with low‑voltage wiring,



soldering, or basic electrical assembly
Experience with shipping and receiving processes or inventory systems
Forklift or pallet jack certification
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Standing for extended periods at an assembly bench or workstation
Repetitive hand and arm motion
Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs, occasionally with assistance
Indoor shop and warehouse setting with seasonal temperature variation
Steel‑toed safety footwear required; other PPE provided
Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Overtime beyond 88 hours in a two‑week pay period must be pre‑approved and is paid at time and a half
Compensation and Terms $23.40 per hour, paid bi‑weekly by direct deposit
4% vacation pay, paid out in the pay period in which it is earned
Two weeks' unpaid vacation time, pro‑rated
Sick days are unpaid; a doctor's note may be required for extended absences
Fixed‑term contract ending December 4, 2026
