This position will oversee a large number of producing assets including a processing plant, across a diverse operating area, driving operational excellence and asset performance.This position is based in our Fox Creek, Alberta office. The successful candidate will work a 9/80 schedule (Monday - Friday, with every second Friday off) and reside in the Fox Creek or Whitecourt, Alberta area.Job functions will involveOversee all field activities and personnel to ensure that business, environmental, health, safety, integrity and compliance objectives/standards are metConsults with other field leaders as necessary while using independent judgment to determine courses of actionAssure business/administrative requirements, with respect to agreements terms and legislative requirements, are being accomplished.
Promote adherence to company policies and procedures for all employeesAssertive in problem solving and decision making with respect to people, schedules, materials and other general coordination itemsMaintain active internal/external relationshipsProvide leadership and assist with career development of field personnelAbility to keep safety in mind at all times. Guide and assist field personnel with identifying and mitigating hazards in order to ensure that projects or day to day operations are being carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible mannerAccountable for the adherence to the budget process for their area of responsibility and have a strong fiscal proficiencyEnsure corporate initiatives are implemented timely and effectivelyEngage and work with engineering professionals who are charged with producing timely and quality technical workPrioritize and manage several tasks simultaneouslyProvide meaningful reporting to Senior Management in a timely and effective mannerRequired Skills and QualificationsDemonstrated successful leadership experience as a Senior Foreman/Superintendent, Engineering Manager or other managerial positionsMinimum 15 years' oil and gas field operations experienceA full working knowledge and significant experience in operations of oil & gas fields, facilities and pipelinesAdditional experience in subsurface drilling, production/facilities engineering, asset integrity, risk management,
construction and pipelines or a combination of these skills is an assetHigh School Diploma or equivalentThe following would be considered an asset:3rd Class Power Engineering,SAIT GPO / PFO industry training coursesA technical secondary diploma or degree related to the oil & gas industry, engineering or equivalentDemonstrated management, coaching, organizational and interpersonal skills including objective setting, recognition, performance management, performance reviews and organizational designSolid understanding of business fundamentalsProven history of delivering strong financial and operational leadershipSelf-starter and able to work independently, time management and organizational effectiveness are critical to this positionExperience in leading emergency response, emergency response training and Incident Commander trainingExperience in incident investigationsStrong problem solver and planner with organizational and analytical abilityPositive attitude and a sense of teamworkGood working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
