Consultant must reside in Canada for a minimum of 10 years to be eligible to apply for Security Clearance.Work LocationOttawa, ON - Hybrid (required 12 days in office per month)Job DescriptionConsultants will be required to be on-call and to work during non-standard business hours, including weekends or evenings.ResponsibilitiesProvide support, administration, and maintenance of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5.X/9.X) components, including vSphere, vSAN, Aria Suite, NSX, HCX, and SDDC ManagerProvide support for Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including vSphere Replication and VMware Live Site Recovery (LSR / SRM)Support and maintain Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environmentsDevelop, maintain, and support automation pipelines using Ansible Tower and Azure DevOpsPerform real-time health monitoring and platform validation across all supported environmentsResolve incidents and problems in accordance with defined SLA targetsExecute approved configuration changes and standard service requests in compliance with change management processesDesign, develop, and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions and automation workflowsIdentify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to improve operational efficiencyMaintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including operational procedures and release notesEnforce cybersecurity controls and best practices across all supported platformsImplement, maintain,
and validate Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, including periodic testing and failover validationEnsure alignment with organizational security, resiliency, and compliance standardsPerform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities across supported platformsEnsure compliance with vendor-recommended compatibility matrices and supported configurationsConduct capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize platform stability and performanceSupport audit activities and provide required reporting documentationPerform validation and testing activities during incident resolution and change implementationParticipate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation, as requiredOther related activities and deliverables, as requiredRequired Qualifications & SkillsUniversity degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related fieldA minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in enterprise virtual infrastructure platforms (VMware ecosystem), including vSphere and VCFA minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience with Azure IaaS, Ansible Tower & Azure DevOpsDemonstrated experience in virtual infrastructure administration, preferably within Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) environmentsDemonstrated strong proficiency in scripting languages, including PowerShell and/or Python, to support automation and operational tasksDemonstrated hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices, including technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, and AzureDemonstrated experience working in and supporting large‑scale, 24/7 production environments, ensuring high availability and operational stability#J-18808-Ljbffr
