VAPC is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will handle corporate and personal tax returns, while also mentoring junior staff. You’ll engage directly with various clients, providing consultation on tax matters to help them succeed financially.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns
• Manage U.S. personal (1040) and corporate tax returns (1120)
• Review information returns including T4s, T5s, and more
• Assist with CRA audits and other compliance projects
• Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience with a Canadian CPA firm
• U.S. tax experience is essential
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Excel
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPA designation or in progress
