Heavy Equipment Operator - Cortland County Department of Public Works (Recycling) Work Hours : Full Time, 40 hours per week with benefits

Tuition Assistance available after one year of service, Position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years of experience in the operation of heavy automotive equipment or highway construction and maintenance equipment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Possession of a valid New York State Class B or Class A Driver’s License with air brake endorsement is required at time of application.
2. A New York State Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and tank endorsement is required within twelve (12) months of appointment. Failure to obtain and/or maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License and all required endorsements including driving privileges throughout employment will result in disciplinary action or dismissal.
