Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Experience
Experience in a call center environment is highly-desirable.
Knowledge or experience working with Emergency Department Information Systems (EDIS) is an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Degree/Diploma in a relevant health care or health sciences related discipline from an accredited education institution.
A combination of education training and/or experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Active member in valuable standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of Emergency Medical Service/medical transportation communication and operations is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Typing/Keyborading skills at 35 wpm.
Ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Ability to respect and promote confidentiality.
Ability to perform the duties on the position on a regular basis.
Competent in Windows based computer programs.
Strong organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
Working knowledge of the provincial geography.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work shifts: Days, Evenings, Night, Weekends and General Holidays.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
