The Trimmer is responsible for safely trimming, finishing, inspecting, and preparing molded rubber, urethane, or other manufactured components in accordance with company safety and quality standards.
This role ensures excess material and product imperfections are properly removed so finished components meet required specifications and customer delivery requirements. The Trimmer is also responsible for completing required production documentation and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities
Trim, cut, grind, sand, or remove excess material and flash from molded products
Safely operate knives, scissors, grinders, buffers, trimming machines, and other approved hand or power tools
Follow work orders, production schedules, drawings, samples, and work instructions
Perform visual inspections to identify defects, damage, improper dimensions, or other quality concerns
Use measuring tools and gauges, where required, to confirm products meet specifications
Report defective or non-conforming products to the Production Lead, Supervisor, or Quality department
Count, label, package, and prepare finished products for the next stage of production or shipment
Complete production documentation accurately, including work orders and travel sheets
Meet established production, quality, and efficiency requirements
Follow lockout/tagout procedures and report hazards or equipment concerns immediately
Ensure tools, materials, and finished products are returned to designated storage locations
Maintain housekeeping, 5S,
and TPM standards during each shift
Wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements Support the training and onboarding of current employees as assigned
Perform opening, closing, and general production support duties as required
Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing, trimming, finishing, or industrial production environment preferred Experience working with molded rubber, urethane, plastic, or similar materials is an asset
Ability to safely use cutting tools, grinders, trimming equipment, and other hand or power tools Knowledge of basic production processes and quality-inspection requirements
Understanding of workplace safety requirements, including WHMIS and PPE use
Ability to follow work orders, procedures, specifications, and work instructions
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and product quality
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability
